Go Lanka Holidays was founded by 2 Sri Lankans Tony Maheswaran & Navin Senadhira. Each is a veteran in the tourism industry and between them count over 60-years rich experience in holiday tourism. Both of them lived overseas from Sri Lanka for over a decade (in Dubai) have traveled to foreign countries and have a clearl understanding what a holiday traveler would expect from a visit to a foreign land. For many years they also saw how the "middle-man" could sometimes wreck a well designed holiday program to squeeze out a few extra dollars from the client and this motivated them to design holiday programs which are probably not the cheapest money could buy, but would certainly rank amongst the best in "value for money".
Having a strong relationship with many of Sri Lanka's leading hotels & ground service providers, they have successfully put their programs to the test; several guests who experienced their services have promised to return to Sri Lanka.
Moving away from structured tour itineraries they prefer to offer tailor-made holiday programs in Sri Lanka and mostly to the individual leisure traveler who seeks a private, un-rushed holiday to relax, enjoy and learn about the country. They use carefully selected client-friendly hotels at 4 & 5 star levels to ensure guests receive "value for money" and do not hesitate to politely refuse if a client insists on a program which is neither practical nor suitable because they know their country best and would not want their client to be unhappy at the end .

The Founders of Go Lanka Holidays Private Limited in Sri Lanka
Navin Senadhira:
Navin is one of the two founders and Co-Director of Go Lanka Holidays Private Limited.
By profession he is a licensed Tour Guide Lecturer of the Sri Lanka Tourism Board since 1980, and enjoys working outdoors, meeting people and designing meaningful well planned holiday programs for his guests ensuring they have an enjoyable holiday in Sri Lanka.
His tourism career began in 1979 with one of Sri Lanka's Pioneering Tourism Company's Walkers Tours who engaged him to manage their German speaking clients (He speaks fluent German). He escorted groups around the country's holiday spots and also was a beach resort Destination Manager when required. Tour Operator accounts he managed included prominent Germant brands Meiers Welt Reisen and Tjaeroborg for their programs in Sri Lanka.
In 1992 he moved to Dubai and lived there for 15 years engaged with one of UAE's top 10 Destination Management Companies - SNTTA Emir Tours. He was a Specialist German Speaking Tour Escort for programs around the UAE and The Sultanate of Oman for well known German Companies TUI, ITS & Jahn Reisen, and in addition he also escorted programs for German Special brands like Gebeco Reisen, Hapag Lloyd and German Speaking Swiss Tour Operator Info-Reisen Bischofberger. The crowning moment of his career was in 2008 when Gebeco Reisen featured him in their Middle East Tour Brochure as their preferred Tour Escort for the UAE & Oman.
His acquired knowledge of the Arabian Culture and Heritage combined with destination Sri Lanka enriched his experience and benefitted his guests. Navin has also travelled in Asia and Europe on private holidays with his wife and all of this made him understand what a holidaymaker looks for on a private holiday.
In 2008 he returned to Sri Lanka. In May 2009, the terrorist war in Sri Lanka finally came to an end. Together with his business partner, friend and colleague they founded Go Lanka Holidays in September 2009. Now he is where he enjoys putting his experience to best use servicing his guests and advising them what suits best for their holiday programs in Sri Lanka.
Tony Maheswaran
Tony is the other founder and Co-Director of Go Lanka Holidays Private Limited.
While Navin is the specialist on field operations he keeps processes "behind the curtain" aligned to support the Company's progress.
He started his tourism career in 1981with another pioneer in Sri Lanka Tourism Aitken Spence Travels and spent 10-years in Sri Lanka in Tourism. Whilst Navin comes out as the bubbly, extrovert, front-line point of contact to clients, he takes care of key processes to ensure programs operate effectively and he also engages in Procurement of Products and Services from reputable vendors in the destination.
In 1991, he moved to Dubai and spent the next 13-years also with SNTTA Emir Tours as Navin. He experienced first-hand Dubai's phenomenal growth in Tourism and as one of the worlds most modern metropolis. In 2004 he returned to Sri Lanka and invested his acquired international experience back in his home-country's industry and has never regretted this decision even though Sri Lanka slipped back into war until it achieved Peace in May 2009.
In 2004 he joined Kuoni's branch in Sri Lanka SITA and in 2006 switched career from Destination Management to Hotel Marketer joining Sri Lanka pioneer Hotel Group "Confifi" led by "Pioneer and Tourism Legend" Professor Tony Furkhan. He was responsible for marketing 3 beach resorts on a prime 1-km stretch of beach on Sri Lanka's south-west coast referred to as the "Golden Mile of Beruwela".
In 2009 with the end of war in Sri Lanka, he co-founded Go Lanka Holidays.
Having traveled across Europe, Asia, the GCC and Far East, South Africa and the US, he understands the mind-set of a holiday traveler and puts this to use on Products and Services offered in Sri Lanka.
